This guide is going to walk you through the process of what a boudoir photoshoot is and how the process works over here at HDCO. I am excited to get you in the studio! Once you read through this guide, you’ll be able to schedule your free phone consultation and book your session over the phone with us!

Consider me your official hype girl and self love therapist. I have been a specialized, full-time boudoir photographer for almost 9 nine years. This is all I do 365 days of the year. I felt a calling to join the conversation and advocate for body positivity and female empowerment, so I left my 9-5 and took a massive leap of faith. Now I get to work with everyday women to provide a luxury self love experience.

"What Is Boudoir?"
Boudoir technically is a French word which means “a woman’s dressing room or bedroom,” but we like to think of it as just a fancy word for women’s intimate portraiture. Boudoir is not pornographic. Boudoir can be fun, flirty, beautiful, cute, sexy, feminine, intimate, candid, posed, or really anything else you want it to be.

We believe that boudoir is the best gift you can give yourself, to capture your essence as you are now. We’ll let you in on a little secret…all the women on our website believed they didn’t look like the women on our website! Crazy, right? Because here you see them being so fierce and so confident, but we can assure you that they were just as nervous and full of self-doubt as you are. They all showed up, put their trust in us, and let us coach them through the whole day.
There is no such thing as the perfect body. You are never too big, too small, too old, too young (well, we only accept boudoir clients who are 21+) to do a boudoir session. Boudoir is for everybody. Let us show you.
"CAN YOU MAKE ME LOOK THINNER?"
We want to help you feel beautiful NOW, just the way you are. We flatter you with hair and makeup styling, a wardrobe that compliments your figure, and amazing lighting and posing techniques to highlight your best ass-sets (see what I did there?). We do not believe in heavy photoshopping. Don’t get us wrong, we will gladly remove all of your bruises and pimples, but we don’t want to over-manipulate your body to make you look like someone you are not. We already live in a time where we are consumed with unrealistic bodies in the media. We want to show you that you are beautiful at this very moment.
"DO YOU OFFER HAIR AND MAKEUP?"
Hell-to-the-YES, girl! No boudoir session is complete without a bomb, photo-ready finish. I only hire the very best talent in the Nashville area to serve our clients with top level hair and makeup artistry.
Many of our clients tell us they barely wear makeup, and/or they have no idea how to apply makeup for the camera. If this is you, then have no fear…We are going to take great care of you and get you the makeup look that suits you and your personality best.
“What Will I Wear?”
We have created a beautiful and comprehensive Wardrobe Guide that should give you the 411 on how to look and feel like a bombshell for your session. Our policy is always, “When in doubt, bring it!” Most sessions will include 2-3 outfits, so it’s not uncommon for our babes to show up with a duffle bag full of stuff! From there, we’ll hang all of your pieces and discuss which ones will flatter you most. Feel free to leave tags on in case you’d like to return the ones you didn’t end up shooting in!
For our booked clients we also have another guide that will instruct you on where to shop! We know the world of lingerie can be overwhelming, so we do our very best to take as much stress off of you as possible. It gives you direct links to all of our favorite lingerie retailers, thier price points, and what we love about them.

Full disclosure…if you are looking for a quick roll around the bed and a handful of digitals sent to your email, we can help to accommodate that, but the truth is that our clients are here for a full day experience and want all day with the HDCO girls. All of the staff here invest a significant amount of our time into each of our clients to ensure that you have the most successful and custom tailored boudoir experience.
The process may seem overwhelming to some, but it is a true exploration of you as a woman - from self-esteem, to sexual interests (i.e. whips and chains, anyone?), to learning to love your body at the size that it is.
Luckily for you, you’ve found us! Working with women in boudoir is all we do. You are in good hands with us and we’ll make sure that you don’t miss a single step.

I NEED MY IMAGES BY XX DATE, WHEN SHOULD I BOOK?
OUR STUDIO BOOKS UP 4-6 MONTHS IN ADVANCE AND OUR PRINTED PRODUCTS CAN TAKE UP TO 8 WEEKS FOR DELIVERY. IF YOU HAVE A SPECIAL OCCASION COMING UP OR WISH TO BOOK A HOLIDAY APPOINTMENT, WE RECOMMEND BOOKING 6-8 MONTHS IN ADVANCE OF THAT DATE.
CAN MY SPOUSE/FRIEND/MOM COME TO MY SESSION OR MY ORDERING APPOINTMENT?
WE DO NOT ALLOW GUESTS TO BE PRESENT FOR ANY PORTION OF THE TIME YOU SPEND WITH US. OUR SERVICES ARE BEST DELIVERED IN AN 1-ON-1 ATMOSPHERE WITH YOUR COMPLETE UNDIVIDED ATTENTION
WHAT CAN I EXPECT TO SPEND AT MY REVEAL & ORDERING APPOINTMENT?
BEFORE WE HAVE CREATED YOUR IMAGES, IT IS HARD FOR ME TO GIVE YOU AN EXACT FIGURE AS TO WHAT TO EXPECT. SOME WOMEN COME TO ME AND JUST GET A BASIC ALBUM, OTHERS COME TO ME AND WANT IT ALL AND INVEST SEVERAL THOUSAND ON A VARIETY OF PRODUCTS. OUR MINIMUM PURCHASE POINT IS $1275, BUT AFTER THAT WHAT YOU SPEND IS ENTIRELY UP TO YOU.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET PRINTS BACK?
DIGITAL IMAGES WILL BE DELIVERED IN 7-10 BUSINESS DAYS. FROM THERE, DEPENDING ON WHAT YOU PRODUCTS YOU PURCHASED, IT CAN TAKE UP TO 6-8 WEEKS FOR THE ALBUM TO BE SHIPPED TO YOU FROM OUR LAB.

The retainer fee starts at $750 and is required to reserve a space on our calendar. The retainer fee includes:

PRODUCT PRICING
Most of our clients come to us for an album. We offer albums from basic to boujee…we’ve got a style to suit every babe. However, we sell all kinds of things for you to choose from.
We’ll help you determine how many images you want, what products appeal to you the best, and how much you want to spend. Some women come to me and just get a basic album, others come to me and want it all and invest several thousand on a variety of products.
Our minimum purchase point is $1275, but after that what you want to spend is entirely up to you.

“DO I HAVE TO TALK ON THE PHONE TO BOOK MY SESSION?”
Yes! We do not offer online bookings for a very specific reason. The boudoir experience is an intimate one. We believe you should have the opportunity to meet and speak with studio staff prior to arriving for your session.
We offer a custom tailored experience for each of our clients and that process starts during your phone call with one of our booking consultants. They’ll collect some information to create your client account and get you access to the client portal, where you’ll find more resources to ensure a successful boudoir experience.
Jiri or Rachel will help you choose a date for your session based on our availability and any celebration dates you may be considering the occasion for. Then, Cassidy will be in touch to set up your payment plan and finish your onboarding.
